Definition of marketing




Marketing is some activities which is related to customer directly or indirectly. It is not telling and selling, it is a process of satisfy customer by developing production, price system, place, promotional activities, creation of value, distribution of goods, services and ideas which make exchanges that satisfy personal and organization goal.

Marketing means “reach the final product to the ultimate consumer through profitable customer relationship”.

Marketing is a process by which companies create value for customers and build strong customer relationships to capture value from customers in return.

Selling activities starts after production but marketing activities starts before production. Before production a marketer need to market analysis, identifying competitor, customer demand identifying, financing, collection of row materials and machinery, product planning and development, marketing development etc. all of activities are related to marketing.

The best definition of Philip Kotler and Gray Armstrong is “Marketing is a social and managerial process by which individual and groups obtain what they need and want through creating and exchanging value with others”.

After all, normally we can say marketing is not only buying, selling, or advertising but also all activities related before production after sell that means from production to final consumer all of business activities are include in marketing.
