The marketing management philosophy

Philosophy is the science of sciences. The books which discuss the whole matter of a specific topic and must follow some rules and regulation that is called philosophy. And for operating marketing activities needs some philosophy those philosophy is called marketing philosophy. Marketing philosophy is called business philosophy.

At present there are seven philosophies exit in marketing, those are discuss below:

The Production concept:
Product concept is one of the oldest concept in marketing philosophy. From 1860 to 1920 most of the companies followed this concept. The main theme of this concept is the more production the more sell. Using this concept marketer produce qualityful product and distribute strategy keep responsible price. Production concept holds the customer will favor products that are available and highly affordable.

The Product concept:
The main theme of product concept is customer will buy the product which have new feature, best quality, higher service, higher performance etc. By following this concept marketer choose the product which characteristics customer will favor which have best quality, service, performance etc.

The selling concept:
The most important and productive concept. Now a day’s most of the company follow this concept. The main theme of this concept is the more selling the more profit no need to customer satisfaction. According to Philip Kotler and Gray Armstrong the selling concept holds that consumers will not buy enough of the organization products unless it undertakes a large scale selling and promotion effort.

The customer concept:
At present many company take customer concept from marketing concept. The main theme of this concept is fine out the customer inter personal demand and fulfill, satisfying and make long term customer by providing quilityful product and services. Following this concept marketer takes different strategy for customer needs want demand and produce according to customer needs.

The marketing concept: 
The marketing concept is the most important modern concept. If any firm want to gain success it must follow this concept. The main theme of this concept is find out customer’s needs, wants and demands and delivering the desired satisfaction better than competitors do. Example pride dandy dying are followed this concept. Marketing concept consists of three basis. Such as:
Customer centered goals
Integrated marketing
Customer satisfaction

The societal marketing concept:
The modern concept of marketing philosophy is societal marketing concept. Following this concept marketer want to satisfied customer as well as helps development of society. The societal marketing concept holds that marketing strategy should deliver value to customers in a way that maintain both the customers and society’s well-being.

The holistic marketing concept:
In the modern marketing environment, companies wonder how to maintain and compete.  Holistic marketing recognizes that “everything matters” with marketing and that a broad integrated perspective is often necessary.
According to Philip Kotler and Kevin Lane Keller “The holistic marketing concept is based on the development design and implementation of marketing programs, processes and activities that recognizes their breadth and interdependencies.”
